Parking Lot Closure; North Drive Re-Opening

Dear First Presbyterian Church Members and Friends,

The Arts Center Way parking lot closes after Worship and Youth Group on September 14th. This Sunday is the last day it will be available until the end of the year.

The new, two-lane, North Drive opens on September 15 with two-way access. Please use caution when using the North Drive and look for pedestrians who may be walking to or from the North Drive entrance nearest Fifield Hall. There is limited parking on the North Drive: 5 PMO designated spaces, and two handicap spaces. Effective September 15: 

• Preschool carpool and PMO drop off will resume using the North Drive from 8:50 to 9:10 a.m. each morning and from 12:50 to 1:10 p.m. each afternoon. Preschool also has extended day pickup at 1:50 to 2:10 p.m. and Enrichment classes have pickup at 3 to 3:10 p.m.

• Preschool parents will enter from Arts Center Way, and exit onto Peachtree by making a right turn only on Peachtree.

• PMO parents will enter the North Drive from Peachtree Street, park in the PMO designated parking spaces, and walk their children into the building at the North Drive entrance. The recommended access is to enter the North Drive traveling south on Peachtree and turning right into the North Drive.

After 2 p.m. on weekdays, the PMO designated parking spaces may be used by church members or guests. Please note that at this time, due to construction in various parts of the buildings, parking in these spaces or the handicap spaces will require entry at the North Drive door (near Fifield Hall) and require walking down the hall from Fifield Hall to the 16th Street Door and up the sidewalk to the Smith Lobby. North Drive door access is secured and requires an access card, or someone to meet you at the door to open it. 

On Sundays, the PMO designated spaces may be used by parents of infants or those with mobility issues. During the week, all other visitors may park in the FPC parking deck across the street and obtain validation at the Smith security desk. On Sundays, the Midtown Plaza parking deck will be available as usual, as will be the FPC parking deck across the street.
