Lane and Sidewalk Closures

Beginning Monday, June 2nd, Hardscape construction will continue on the perimeter of our campus as part of our ongoing Capital Project improvements. These activities will temporarily affect traffic patterns and pedestrian access on the perimeter, with completion expected in July.

What to Expect:

Vehicular Traffic Changes:

  • Peachtree Street: One southbound travel lane and the adjacent parking lane will be closed in front of the church.

    • Police vehicles, barricades, and flagmen will be present to manage traffic flow during construction during the week.

    • The southbound traffic lane WILL be open for vehicle traffic on Sundays.

Pedestrian Access:

  • Sidewalks along Peachtree Street, 16th Street, and Arts Center Way, adjacent to campus, will be temporarily closed.

    • A temporary pedestrian walkway will be installed along Peachtree Street for continued access. Please make note of this for Sunday pedestrian access.

    • Clear signage will direct pedestrians to designated safe crossing points.

  • Uniformed police officers will be stationed during peak weekday hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) to ensure pedestrian safety.

Please refer to the attached diagram for a visual overview of these changes. You can click the image to view it larger.

Please allow additional travel time when coming to church, especially during the initial adjustment period. We recommend:

  • Arriving 5-10 minutes earlier than usual

  • Following posted detour signs and traffic personnel directions

These hardscape construction activities will continue until July 2025. We will provide updates as this portion of the project progresses and share information about any additional changes.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our campus facilities. These improvements will benefit our community for years to come.
